Monthly Narrow Door Food Boxing
3rd Saturday of every month
**This opportunity was arranged by Mr. Yip and is completely full** Please remember to check for cancelations.
From Mr. Yip - Sign up for as many dates as you wish. Note that you are no longer capped at 3 hours per organizations for the school year (you just need to make sure you do at least 2 organizations per trimester). The only thing I ask is that if you cannot make it, please find someone else to take your spot as this is self organized and we want to make sure that we have 15 students showing up each month. 2.5 service hours will be given for each event.
The Narrow Door's mission is to identify and impact issues within the Coachella Valley by connecting people to God and a supporting community. We do this by providing free public assistance that calls for immediate action in the areas of hunger relief, homelessness, clothing, hygiene and discipleship programs. For more information on the Narrow Door, visit https://www.thenarrowdoor.org
The 3rd Saturday of every month during the school year, we have partnered with the Narrow Door to help box food for those in need. We may even walk next door to distribute the food so that the students can see/feel the impact they are making to the community.
Students must wear SHS volunteer shirt and appropriate free-dress bottoms and close-toes shoes.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Geeman Yip at geeman@yips.net or 425.260.5757.
